NOCA’s 13U Fall Pre-Prep Program

Through our Individual Instructional Assessment Process, we select (50) 13 Year Olds each Fall.

Once we have our (50) 13’s, we organize into (4) balanced Fall 13U Teams that play each other on (5) consecutive Saturdays & Sundays (September 13th - October 12th) at Holy Cross & John Ryan Stadium (100% 60/90).

Thursday Nights (7:30pm) represent our Academy Skills Instruction held at John Ryan Stadium. Offered are (10) Different Skills Stations ranging from Middle Infield, Catchers, Pitching, Corner Infield, & even Speed & Agility by Brattain Sports Performance

NOCA’s Fall: Important Dates

  • September 6th. 13U Parent Meeting.
  • September 7th.  13U Mentor Coaches Workout & Draft. This is where we draft and balance our 13U Fall Teams.
  • September 13th - October 12th. Live Games (Weekends Only) + Academy Instruct Nights (Thursday Nights)
  • October 12th.  13U “Tre Morgan’s” Fall Championship Games.  Final Date of Fall.

*It’s ok if you have to miss any Dates (Workouts, Meetings, or Games).  We can catch you up on everything and it doesn’t carry forward with any punitive actions. Again, NOCA is not a Travel Ball Organization and we certainly aren’t looking to monopolize your life.  Play the other sports.  Go on vacations.  We’ll just see you at the next offering!

Common Questions:

  • Does NOCA’s Fall 13U Baseball Program interfere with Football or Other Fall Sports?

It shouldn’t, mainly because we are not playing Fall Tournaments and occupying the entire weekend.

(1) Game on Saturday, (1) Game on Sunday, (1) Weekday Evening offering for our Academy Skills Workshops.  (5) Weeks Total.  Games start September 13th, Ends October 12th.

  • How Many Fall Tournaments?

NOCA does not play in 13U Fall Baseball Tournaments due to a complete lack of good 13U competition during the Fall and the massive increased risk for Arm Injuries for 13’s that partake in Fall Weekend Tournament Baseball.  (There is just too much risk of injury that comes into play at 13U, which most parents just aren’t aware of).  If you still want those fall travel tournaments, then NOCA is definitely not for you.

  • Are there Fall Practices?

NOCA offers (4) Academy Skills Nights in total; (1) during each week of the 5-Week Fall.  Usually at 7:00pm or 7:30pm, so it doesn’t conflict with other sports.  This serves as your Fall “Practices” and is a concentrated Skills Stations with Guest Instructors and NOCA’s Full Faculty.  Usually on Thursday Nights at John Ryan Stadium.

  • How Many Players per Team?

(12).  Every player plays. We don’t have traditional “Subs” in the Fall.

  • Will My Son Get A Chance To Play____Positions, Pitch, Catch, Get AB’s?

We utilize a Scripted Games Model that is unique to NOCA which guarantees Players Rotate at Positions, Every Player Gets To Pitch (if he wants), Pitchers mitigate Arm Injury Risk by only throwing to a Max (5) Batters, and Every Player is Guaranteed (2) At Bats per Game.

  • Where Do We Play?

John Ryan Stadium & Holy Cross High School.  100% 60/90 Baseball.

  • Who Are The 13U Coaches?

We use no “Dad Coaches”.  NOCA uses a 3 To 1 Player To Coach Ratio every Fall.  You won’t find better coaches & instructors that each specialize in different areas of baseball.
